Böker - Damascus Annual Knife 2023
For this year's Damask annual knife, we are collaborating for the first time with Ricardo Romano Bernandes. Romano, whose family originally comes from Sicily, was born in Brazil, has been a knife maker since 1990, and is part of a long-established tradition of knife making and sharpening that has been passed down for several generations. Its design is inspired by traditional pen knives and immediately captivated us with its casual freshness. For the modern interpretation of a traditional knife shape, the powder metallurgical damascus steel from the Swedish company Damasteel® seemed to us to be a suitable blade material. The production of Damasteel® requires - even when using the most modern technical means - the same high level of skill and experience as hand-forging steel. The purity and properties of Damascus steel can be optimized to the extreme through complex combined processes. The self-supporting structure made of laminated blue and gray G10 forms an extremely attractive contrast with the chosen pattern "Odin Eye" of Damasteel®. The simple yet always reliable slip joint is an essential feature of this type of knife. The combination of size, weight, indestructible G10 scales, and rust-free Damaststeel® make this collector's knife an excellent EDC option. Delivery in a floating display with certificate of authenticity and serial number. Strictly limited to 999 units worldwide
