Description
Battle Merchant - Sword with Paranuss Pommel Reenactment SK-B
In the High Middle Ages, Viking swords began to lose some of their characteristic features, such as the wide, slowly tapering blade and the three-lobed pommel, and started to look more like the longswords of the Middle Ages
This faithful replica replaces the tricorn pommel with the Brazil nut shape, and the short, thick guard of previous swords is adapted to the thinner, elongated, and classic medieval cross shape. The blade is full tang and hand-riveted at the pommel. The handle is wrapped with a leather strap. The blade is forged from high-quality spring steel and is approximately. Hardened to 48 HRC. It has a pronounced fuller, which gives the sword great elasticity and at the same time lightness. The blade tip and edges are dull and rounded. The sword comes with a very beautiful wooden-leather scabbard with a wooden loop as a belt strap (for max. 5 cm wide belt. The scabbard has a richly decorated brass chape
This is the battle-ready version of this Viking sword. The same sword is also available in a regular version: Item number. 0180001618.
