Description
Cold Steel - Pendleton Hunter AUS 10A
1973 purchased by Lynn C. Thompson the very first knife made by knife maker Lloyd Pendleton. The two quickly became friends and together they worked on one of the most popular Cold Steel® hunting knife collections, the critically acclaimed Pendleton series.
The Pendleton Hunter is highly valued in hunting circles and has been a staple of the Cold Steel® collection for many years.
The gutting and skinning of game is extremely easy thanks to Lloyd Pendleton's distinctive drop-point blade! With its strong back and deep flat grind, the blade of the Pendleton Hunters offers a versatile point and a razor-sharp edge. The well-shaped handle with simple hand protection and thumb stop allows for a variety of grip options necessary for intricate game processing. The deeply grooved handle made of Kray-Ex™ also ensures a secure grip, even with cold, wet, or bloody hands.
For additional security and improved durability, a sheath made of Secure-Ex® ensures safety. Cold Steel® has dispensed with leather in favor of this material, as Secure-Ex® will neither rot nor mold and is much more cut and puncture resistant.
Stainless steel AISI 10A
In terms of strength and toughness, AUS 80A has the same qualities as AUS 8A. However, this steel offers the extraordinary advantage of 20% higher edge retention. This feature, being able to stay sharp for longer, gives it crucial performance advantages over other more common stainless steel grades
