Battle Merchant - Gladiator Dagger with Bone Handle
The Roman gladiators were destined to fight a very brutal close combat in the arenas of the Roman Empire. Therefore, a popular weapon was a short sword or dagger suitable for stabbing
This gladiator dagger is a very beautiful replica of a weapon discovered during excavations in Pompeii. The city of Pompeii was founded in the year 79 BC. Chrome. largely destroyed by the eruption of Vesuvius and buried under a layer of ash 4 - 6 meters thick. It is an Eldorado for archaeologists today
The dagger features a very detailed, handcrafted handle made of bone. The blade is forged from carbon steel. It is unsharpened and therefore perfect for collectors as well as for combat displays. A scabbard is not available, as gladiator weapons were carried into the arena. Since the handle is made of naturally grown animal bone, small cracks in the material are possible and completely normal. Such small imperfections give the product an authentic, natural, and unique look, without compromising the quality or strength of the handle
