Marto - Sword of Lancelot
Sir Lancelot du Lac was one of the Knights of the Round Table in the Arthurian legend. He is typically the greatest companion of King Arthur, the Lord of Joyous Gard, and the greatest swordsman and knight of his time. Struck down by King Arthur to become a knight, Sir Lancelot became one of the most legendary figures of the Round Table. Queen Guinevere was his lady when he took his knightly vow. Lancelot continued his knightly adventures by conquering the castle of the unfortunate guard and revealed his origin as Lancelot du Lac, son of the brave and generous King Ban Benoic, who fought faithfully alongside King Arthur and lost his kingdom, sending his son Lancelot accompanied by the Lady of the Lake to be knighted at King Arthur's court. His love affair with Queen Guinevere led him to fight against all the knights of the Round Table who wanted to save the honor of their lord. After defeating one after the other, Lancelot admitted his disloyalty to the king and went to a monastery to do penance and atone for his sin. Before he died, the Lady of the Lake came to help him, and both disappeared forever into the lake, thus honoring his name Lancelot of the Lake.
