Cold Steel - 4-Max S35VN
Cold Steel - Pocket Knife 4-Max S35VN Steel
The 4-MAX is the result of a collaboration between Cold Steel® and award-winning custom knife maker Andrew Demko, designed with a single goal in mind: to fit maximum strength and highest performance in a 10 cm blade. This knife, made according to Andrews' precise specifications, bridges the gap between mass-produced and expensive custom-made knives, and is made from the highest quality materials
Its extra-wide drop point blade with stonewash finish is forged from stainless S35V steel, offering a nearly perfect balance between durability and edge retention. The milled titanium plates and spacers, as well as the 3D CNC-machined grip scales made of glass bead-blasted G10, give this already incredibly robust knife even more strength!
This knife is equipped with the groundbreaking Tri-Ad® locking mechanism, making it possibly the strongest production pocket knife that Cold Steel® has ever produced! The 4-Max passed all of Cold Steel's® famous and rigorous hardness and stress tests with flying colors, even being able to easily withstand a freely hanging weight of just over 360 kg (800 lbs) - all without any damage!
So if you are looking for a giant folding knife with high collector's value that offers the features, durability, and materials usually only found in custom knives of the luxury class, your search ends here!
CPM S35VN Steel
This is an extraordinary American super steel. CPM S35VN is not only extremely tough and durable, but it can also be sharpened to a razor-sharp edge very well and maintains this sharpness for a long time. With its uniform microstructure, this very fine-grained powder steel offers consistent, good properties: durable, reliable, highly corrosion-resistant, tough and hard even with thinly ground edges. A good, versatile steel for high-quality knives and tools
