Cold Steel - OSI Hunting Knife
The Subhilt knives from Cold Steel® offer all the advantages of a custom-made knife, including performance, but are much more affordable. The blades are made of Japanese AUS 8A stainless steel and are double hardened using the most advanced techniques to ensure unparalleled strength and durability. The handle of these blades is a model of efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Handle, guard and finger guard ("Sub-Hilt) made from Kray-Ex™ are injection molded in one piece. This material is inexpensive, yet provides the durability, safety, and control that one can expect from a subhilt knife. And furthermore, the handle remains weatherproof and resistant to moisture.
The OSI is a very stable, single-cut version of the OSS (item no. CST-39LSSC. This knife was designed by Cold Steel® President Lynn C. Thompson extensively tested in practical use. It has been used to skin and gut dozens of game animals - from wild boars to buffaloes - and has proven to be extremely efficient time and time again!
