Description
Casström - Swedish Forest Knife No 10 Maserbirke + Fire Steel
This great knife is designed as a multipurpose knife for hunting and classic bushcraft tasks. designed for general outdoor use. The blade is approx. 10 cm long and made of approx. Made of 4,0 mm thick Sleipner stainless steel, a Swedish knife steel that has been heat treated and hardened to a Rockwell hardness of 659-660 HRC. This razor-sharp blade features a Scandi grind and a satin finish. The combination of steel and grind results in a knife that is very sturdy, yet has a high sharpness and can be easily sharpened.
The handle is made of curly birch. The wood has been treated with a traditional Scandinavian linseed oil-based paint. Black liners have been installed between the handle scales and steel to increase the lifespan of the knife.
The knife comes with a durable, frame-stitched sheath made of 3 mm thick, vegetable-tanned full-grain leather in cognac brown. The sheath features an especially wide belt loop, a drainage hole, an eyelet for attaching a lanyard, and - for this particular model - a fire steel holder that accommodates a fire steel with a visually coordinated handle.
