This Soldier's Buckler "Schlachtruf" The collection is a replica of the useful small shield that was used during the Middle Ages
and was used during the Renaissance in close combat. Its size made it relatively ineffective against long-range weapons such as arrows and spears, but useful for deflecting the blow of an opponent's weapon or impeding the movements of the adversary.
It was specially designed for use and made of 50065 steel with high carbon content, which has a dark, battle-hardened surface and has been hardened to a low value of 50 HRC.
