Battle Merchant - Crusader Sword 13th Century. Reenactment SK-C
Battle-ready replica of a high medieval one-handed sword, as used by Crusaders of various orders during the Crusades. This sword stands out with its octagonal pommel from the more commonly seen swords with a round disc pommel.
This sword is exclusively handcrafted. The elegant guard and octagonal pommel are made of heat-treated, forgeable cast iron. The one in oil at approx. 48-50 HRC hardened spring steel blade goes all the way through to the pommel and is hand-riveted there. The handle is wrapped with a leather strap. The blade features a pronounced fuller, which gives the sword great elasticity and, at the same time, lightness. The blade edge is not sharpened. The sword comes with a very beautiful wooden-leather scabbard with a wooden loop as a belt strap (for max. 5 cm wide belt. The scabbard also has a steel throatpiece.
